Every season we cut twenty-three pieces and no more. The number is not a marketing device — it is how many a workshop of four people can make properly between one autumn and the next. Each piece is signed and numbered inside a seam, and once the run is finished the pattern goes back into the archive. Some return, re-cut, years later. Most do not. What that buys you is a garment nobody else on your street is wearing, made by people whose names we can tell you.
